Australian Police Fail to Find Casino Robber23 August 2002AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian News : "A three-day hunt for a high rolling casino robber has failed to find any trace, police have admitted. "Police today released three seconds of security video from Crown Casino's high-roller room showing the moments after the man allegedly robbed cashiers at gunpoint at 5am on Tuesday. "…Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Bernie Jackson said the rest of the security footage could not be released because it showed details of the security in the casino's Mahogany Room. "Snr Sgt Jackson appealed to the man to come forward to help the police investigation into the armed robbery and to reassure his family he was OK. "…Snr Sgt Jackson said the man could have fled interstate or overseas, evading the police watch on airports. "…Snr Sgt Jackson said the ease with which the man allegedly pulled off his bold heist could encourage other criminals to target the casino…" |
