Australian Casino Fined Over Security11 December 2001AUSTRALIA – Dec. 11, 2001 –As reported by the (Australian) Age.com: "The Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority has fined Crown Casino $50,000 after a Crown worker accessed a money-counting room in a manner not compliant with State Government security procedures. "It is the second time in three years that the authority has fined Crown over a security breach at one of the rooms. In 1998, the casino was fined $15,000. "The authority said in a statement on its website last week that the action was taken against Crown on September 25. But it was not announced at the authority's public meeting on September 25, even though three other disciplinary actions were detailed at the meeting…" |
