Austin Powers Hits the Casino – Groovy Baby!10 April 2001International Game Technology is planning to introduce a new video slot machine game based on the "Austin Powers – the International Man Of Mystery" this month. The game has already been approved by Gaming Laboratories Inc. and received Nevada and Mississippi Gaming Control Board approval. Based on the Austin Powers'' movies, the product development team at IGT used numerous clips and filled nearly 100 percent of the audio card with scores of different sound bites. “We had a lot of fun developing the game and designed it with the goal of making players laugh, maybe even gasp,” said Joe Kaminkow, vice president of product development. The company intends to ensure that players get to enjoy all of the game''s crazy antics, and have built in a high hit frequency and large cast of bonus scenes in order to create a unique gaming experience every time. The Austin Powers video slot is targeted at players in their 20s and early 30s in mind. IGT claims that the company has already received orders for more than 1300 machines for casinos throughout North America. IGT is offering the game with a bright yellow cabinet, which makes the new game easy to see in a crowded casino. |
