Aussie Pokie Clubs Robbed11 September 2002AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Sydney Morning Herald: ``Armed bandits have robbed two poker machine clubs in six days. ``In one attack a shot was fired to prevent witnesses chasing the robber. ``In the latest raid three men armed with handguns stormed the Tabaret Leighoak Club in Dandenong Rd, Oakleigh, about 1.50am yesterday where they confronted three staff and three patrons. ``Wearing suit jackets and dark pants with clothing -- possibly T-shirts -- wrapped around their heads, the bandits forced the workers and patrons to the floor where they stood..." |
