Aussie Gaming Minister Quits12 February 2003AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Associated Press: ``New South Wales Gaming and Racing Minister Richard Face said he would stand down from his portfolio because of speculation about what he might do after leaving politics. ``Mr Face is not contesting the March 22 state election. ``…Mr Face had come under fire in the past week after he said he planned to start a consultancy in the gaming and liquor industries - two areas of his portfolio. ``The state opposition had called for Premier Bob Carr to sack the minister in light of the revelations…" |
