Aussie Casino Dispute Settled3 February 2003AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Associated Press: ``Industrial action planned at Melbourne's Crown Casino this weekend has been called off after a pay dispute was settled. ``The casino and the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers' Union (LHMWU) have been at loggerheads over a 15 per cent pay claim since late last year. ``…Crown spokesman Gary O'Neill said agreement was reached yesterday on a 12.5 per cent pay rise over three years - with the possibility of 13 per cent depending on gaming revenues…" |
