Atlantic International Tries Mini-CyberCasinos

15 July 1997

ATLANTIC CITY -- In a Reuters new story, it was announced that the Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc. has retained an adviser and is "aggressively pursuing" the sale of one of its three casino-hotels in Atlantic City, president Nicholas Ribis said.

"We've retained Merrill Lynch to pursue the disposition of one of our Atlantic City casinos," Ribis said in a telephone interview. He did not specify which of the three Atlantic City casinos operated by the company would be sold.

Explaining the purpose of a sale, Ribis said, "We think the market place in Atlantic City is strong. There is a lot of interest in Atlantic City by a number of companies, and we think that the price that the property we're attempting to sell will fetch will be substantial.(It will) give the company an opportunity to diversify and reduce some of its debt," he said.
