Atlantic City Casino Win Up 2.2 Percent Over November 19995 December 2000ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Atlantic City PressPlus: "The casino industry begins its slowest month on the heels of a sluggish November. "The 12 gaming halls won $336.8 million from gamblers last month, up 2.2 percent over November last year, according to unofficial figures obtained Monday by The Press of Atlantic City. "…Citywide gambling revenue through 11 months was $4 billion, 3.7 percent ahead of last year's pace. "Trump Taj Mahal was revenue king for November, winning $44.1 million from gamblers, up 5 percent. It reported a 10.5 percent gain in slot revenue, best in the city. "…Bally's Park Place won $41.2 million, up 4.8 percent. Bally's and its sister properties, Caesars and Atlantic City Hilton, accounted for 59 percent of the city's $7.3 million gain in casino revenue. "Sands reported the biggest percentage gain in casino revenue, up 17.7 percent to $19.9 million, due to big gains in table play. "Gaming revenue declined at four casinos, mostly sharply at Trump Marina, down 11.4 percent. "…Showboat revenue fell by 7.8 percent due mostly to an unusually low table hold of 10.8 percent. |
