Atlantic City Casino Bus Crashes26 August 2001This week, a busload of day trippers returning from Atlantic City to New York overturned on the Garden State Parkway, injuring 23 passengers, none seriously. The driver was uninjured however other passengers were suffering from a range of mild to medium injuries from broken bones to back injuries. The reason for the accident was unclear. According to Greyhound spokesperson Kristen Parsley, "Apparently, the driver came up on stopped traffic. I don''t know if it was a traffic jam or not. He went off the road and into the grass.” No charges have been filed yet but the police are continuing their investigation. |
