Atlantic City Bans Country's Biggest Gambler

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "…[The Casino Control Commission] permanently banned Taylor Breton, perhaps the country's biggest gambler, from setting foot inside any casino hotel here. The commission had preliminarily excluded him 15 months ago.

"Last November Breton, of Greenwich, Conn., pled guilty and received a five-year prison sentence after being charged with conspiracy, promoting gambling, racketeering and money laundering.

"…In just a two-year span ending early last year, Breton bought $82.4 million in gaming chips during 173 trips here, netting a loss of $7.2 million, the DGE said. A former casino president called him `a whale, the biggest player in the United States.'…"
