Atlanta Cab Drivers to Receive Big Game Jackpot

ATLANTA, Georgia –– As reported by the Associated Press: ``The Georgia Lottery Corporation said it will distribute $90 million Wednesday that was won by a group of Atlanta cab drivers who chose the winning numbers for the May 4 jackpot.

``The payout had been snagged by several lawsuits filed by some drivers who contended they should have received part of the money.

``…A 37-driver pool of drivers from Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport regularly contributed $5 a week for Big Game tickets, but the organizer of the pool, Max Ossei-Wasu, claimed only 23 contributed money the week of the winning drawing.

``The other drivers sued for a portion of the money, but nine eventually dropped their complaints…"
