Aruba Poker Classic re-airs on GSN

21 February 2007

NEW YORK – (PRESS RELEASE) -- It may feel like the dead of winter, but one hot poker tournament is making waves all across America this February. The 2006 Aruba Poker Classic -- UltimateBet's signature live poker tournament -- re-airs on the Game Show Network three more times, on February 23 and 26, and March 1.

UltimateBet's 2006 Aruba Poker Classic took place in Aruba from September 23 to October 1. The million-dollar tournament included such notable players as Team UltimateBet stars Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, and other successful tour participants all trying to win big.

The $774,960 First Prize winnings of the UltimateBet 2006 Aruba Poker Classic were awarded to up-and-coming star Devon Miller. Miller's strategy throughout the tournament was described as epic, showing confidence and skill deserving of the first prize.

"Devon Miller was unstoppable throughout the whole tournament," said UltimateBet Team Member and World Champion Poker Player Phil Hellmuth. "It was entertaining to watch his strategy and skills trump the rest of the field, though we're not going to let him get away with it next time!"

Rookie player Brian Gabrielle was awarded the title "Pro for a Year" after his success during the Aruba-based tournament. The Saskatchewan, Canada, native played skillfully throughout and will be an UltimateBet pro for a full year until the 2007 Aruba tournament where he will defend his title.

UltimateBet is inviting poker players to have a chance to participate in the 2007 Aruba Poker Classic by winning a seat online through the Ultimate Free Roll.
