Army Worried Over New Casino in Laos18 February 2003THAILAND -- As reported by the Bangkok Post: `` The Second Army is worried a new border casino in Laos' Tha Khaek town, opposite Nakhon Phanom, may pose a national security threat, a military source said yesterday. ``The source said there had to be measures to prevent Thais going to the Lao casino. ``If we don't do that we may face security problems in the future.''. ``…Thai gamblers who could not visit casinos in Poi Pet, Cambodia, were going somewhere else, he said.
