Armed Robbers Make Off with Cash from Pennsylvania OTB27 January 2003MOON, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: ``Three armed robbers stole an undisclosed amount of cash early Saturday morning from an off-track betting parlor in Moon, Pennsylvania, operated by Magna Entertainment Corp.'s The Meadows Standardbred racetrack. ``No arrests had been made in the robbery as of Saturday night, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Police declined to say how much money was stolen. ``Investigators said the robbers confronted a janitor emptying the trash at about 4:30 a.m. EST to gain entry in the facility, then confronted two other janitors inside. The robbers put pillowcases over the janitors' heads, bound their hands and feet, and stuck them in a walk-in freezer…" |
