Arizona Lottery Joins Amber Alert System19 May 2003ARIZONA -- As reported by the Arizona Republic: ``That next convenience store pit stop to buy a Lottery ticket, cold soda or tank of gas could help save a child and catch a kidnapper. ``The Arizona Lottery on Friday marked a new tie to the Amber Alert system, which broadcasts information on abducted children, suspects and their vehicles. ``The Lottery will participate by printing any available data on slips of paper that resemble Powerball tickets and which will be available to customers at the counter. ``The Lottery has 2,600 terminals statewide that will receive the alert as soon as it's disseminated. The Lottery outlets will complement statewide radio and television broadcasts of the Amber Alert…" |
