Aristocrat Technologies' Slot Platform, Games Approved in New Jersey6 June 2003LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., the United States subsidiary of global gaming leader Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ASE: ALL), announced that the New Jersey Casino Control Commission recently approved its MKVI(TM) slot machine platform and 11 MKVI game titles with ticket-in, ticket-out functionality. "The approval of our powerful slot platform and a broad range of high-performing MKVI games will give casinos in New Jersey the opportunity for their players to experience games that provide high interactivity, unique features, and above all else, incredible entertainment," said Gavin Isaacs, President of Aristocrat Technologies. "Our customers in New Jersey will benefit from the same robust slot engine, proven games, and other exciting gaming products that are performing exceptionally well and delighting players in other jurisdictions both in the U.S. and globally," Isaacs added. Aristocrat introduced its MKVI platform in the U.S. in late 2002. The highly advanced platform has been approved and is operating in 25 states including Nevada and numerous Native American jurisdictions. "Game performance has been outstanding," said Kent Young, Aristocrat Technologies' Vice-President, Marketing. "Much to the delight of casino management, most of our MKVI games are turning in average win-per-day numbers ranging up to, and sometimes beyond, two times the floor averages. Our games are really setting the pace on the casino floor, especially in the lower denominations. We expect the same terrific performance in New Jersey." Among the MKVI games approved in New Jersey are Aristocrat's successful Scatter Magic, Flame of Olympus, Geisha, Tiki Torch, and Double Dolphins. These games are available in nine or 20-line configurations and all offer multipliers and a variety of bonusing features including Aristocrat's unique "free games" bonus round. In November Casino Journal magazine named the MKVI platform among its prestigious list of the "Top 20 Most Innovative New Gaming Products." The robust slot machine engine supports the game features players want -- incredible sound, 3-D effect animation, a range of bonusing options, and over 1.6 million colors. Aristocrat's MKVI platform supports an array of Aristocrat games and a variety of bonus and progressive products that stretch the boundaries in gaming technology. Among the MKVI innovations are Mr. Cashman(TM), a groundbreaking mystery bonus product; Hyperlink® progressive products known for their patented second-screen features; and Reel Power®, a globally patented technology where players buy reels instead of lines. Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of global gaming leader Aristocrat Leisure Limited, is responsible for all North and South American operations from its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aristocrat offers a diversified product line that reaches into virtually all facets of the casino floor. In addition to video and stepper slots, the company provides casino management systems, multi-site progressive (MSP) systems, progressive jackpot meters, and casino signage. |
