Aristocrat Technologies Reports Promotion

8 March 2006

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. today announced that Ron Jeffrey has been promoted to Global General Manager of Multi-Station Gaming to lead the Company's emerging multi-station gaming device business.

Jeffrey will provide direction on the development and execution of Aristocrat's strategic global sales and marketing plans, focusing on managing the Company's new portfolio of Interblock multi-station gaming devices. Aristocrat obtained this new line after purchasing a 50 percent interest in Electroncek, a Slovenia-based manufacturer of electro-mechanical multi-station gaming products marketed under the brand name Interblock. Aristocrat markets and represents Electroncek's Interblock multi-station Roulette, Dice, and Sic Bo games in North America.

Jeffrey will also oversee the Company's relationship with PokerTek, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based company that offers the interactive, electronic PokerPro(TM) electronic poker table. Aristocrat currently holds an equity interest in the company and has exclusive rights to offer PokerPro tables, and other PokerPro-branded technology solutions, to gaming venues outside of North America.

"The expansion of our multi-station gaming business is one of Aristocrat's key initiatives, and we couldn't think of anyone better to lead this important new business line than Ron Jeffrey, who brings a unique and experienced perspective about both our business and the global gaming market," said Paul Oneile, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Aristocrat Leisure Limited.

For the past three years, as Vice President of Systems Sales, Jeffrey has managed the Company's North America gaming systems business, with a primary focus on growing the business for Aristocrat's OASIS(TM) Casino Management System. In 2005, Aristocrat's North American systems business saw revenue increase nearly 8 percent year-over-year and its customer base increase to over 200 casinos.

Jeffrey joined Aristocrat in 1998 as Senior Product Manager and played a leading role in Aristocrat's successful growth in gaming systems throughout the southern hemisphere. In 2001, he was promoted to Platforms Marketing Manager with responsibility for managing Aristocrat's Platform products globally. Before joining Aristocrat, Jeffrey's experience included management positions in consumer products marketing and information technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
