Aristocrat Selected by Ameristar Casinos Properties

Aristocrat's OASIS system will monitor more than 10,000 gaming machines at Ameristar Casino St. Charles, Mo.; Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, Mo.; Ameristar Casino Council Bluffs, Iowa; Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg, Miss.; and Cactus Pete's Resort Casino, Jackpot, Nev.

The St. Charles and Kansas City installations were upgrades to existing OASIS products. The other properties will replace existing systems with OASIS.

The selection by Ameristar significantly increases Aristocrat's market share in the Midwest. Installation is expected to begin immediately.

"This project is an example of partners working together to accomplish a common goal," said Aristocrat President Mark Newburg.

"Aristocrat was the first company to install a Windows-based loss-limit product in Missouri. That solution worked so well for Ameristar that they began looking at other new features for all of their properties. From there, the enterprise-wide OASIS gaming solution evolved."

Ursula Conway, Ameristar's vice president of information technology, led the project.

She explained, "Ameristar is known for its consumer-oriented approach. We turned to Aristocrat for systems solutions because of their dedication to service, and our confidence that they would develop products that benefit our guests. We've been extremely pleased with the results so far and are enthusiastic about the OASIS(TM) installations."

The OASIS system includes Aristocrat's sophisticated Quickets Ticket-In/Ticket-Out technology. The ticketing system has already been installed at St. Charles. The OASIS casino management system utilizes the popular Windows operating platform and advanced electronic monitoring equipment to collect, integrate, analyze and report information on player and gaming machine activity.

OASIS enables operators to link all of their data centers together, including casino, hotel, food and beverage, and point of sale.
