Aristocrat Names VP of Sales

19 July 2004

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., a Las Vegas-based provider of gaming machines and casino management systems, has named Sean Evans Vice President, Sales to lead the Company's North American and Caribbean games sales organization.

Evans is responsible for driving the sales and placement of Aristocrat's video and mechanical reel slot games, Hyperlink(R) progressive systems, progressive jackpot meters, and casino signage.

He joined Aristocrat in 2000 and has served in various sales and marketing positions, most recently as General Manager-Gaming. During his tenure with the global company Evans directed the launch of three casino-specific Hyperlink progressives and helped grow the Company's wide-area progressive product offerings from one to three wide-area links.

"Sean has the product knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm necessary to continue our momentum in the North American market," said Gavin Isaacs, President of Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. "We're delighted to have someone with such a strong gaming background and such passion for our business leading our sales team."

Before joining Aristocrat Evans served in various gaming management positions in Australia, including five years with Queensland's Jupiters Ltd., a gaming-entertainment company comprised of three casinos; a video lottery terminal system; and an internet sports book. As General Manager for Jupiters' wide-area monitoring division, Evans managed the launch of Australia's first local-area and wide-area Hyperlink progressive systems - both developed by Aristocrat. Under his leadership, Jupiters' gaming machine operation grew from zero machines in 1997 to 13,500 gaming machines by January 2000 - 38 percent of the Queensland State market.

Aristocrat Technologies designs and markets gaming machines, casino management systems, progressive systems, and progressive jackpot meters. Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. is a subsidiary of global gaming company Aristocrat Leisure Limited, which is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: ALL).
