Aristocrat Launches New MK VI Platform

29 August 2002

LAS VEGAS--(Press Release)-- Leading gaming manufacturer Aristocrat Technologies Inc. revolutionized the slot industry when it introduced multi-line technology in 1990.

Now the company is leading another revolution with the launch of its highly advanced MK VI platform

MK VI, pronounced "Mark Six," presents the most advanced visual and audio technology in the slot market. The line features more than 16.7 million colors, state-of-the-art graphics that give a 3-D effect, advanced audio clarity, a synchronized 8-track sound/graphics capability and high-resolution screens.

Driving the spectacle is a system with increased processing power and 24 times more program memory than previous models. This new technology allows for advanced bonus and graphical displays such as sprites, overlays and animations.

Mark Newburg, president of Aristocrat Technologies Inc., said, "MK VI is the most advanced, most innovative, most interactive slot product Aristocrat has developed. Today's players are very sophisticated and demand a higher level of entertainment with the best quality graphics and sound possible. Our MK VI technology delivers on those demands."

MK VI will launch first in GLI jurisdictions with three new games: Geisha, Go For Green and Tiki Torch. The first MK VI games are currently on field trial in Nevada.

MK VI is one of many new products that will be on display at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo, Sept. 17-19 in Las Vegas.

Aristocrat Technologies Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of global gaming leader Aristocrat Leisure Limited, is responsible for all North and South American operations from its headquarters in Las Vegas. Aristocrat offers a diversified product line that reaches into virtually all facets of the casino floor.
