Aristocrat Announces Sunset Station For Field Trial of Its First Nevada Game

10 January 2001

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) Jan. 10, 2001-- Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., announced today that it anticipates being able to proceed with a field trial of its first game for the Nevada market in February. The game, ``Penguin Pays,'' was submitted to the Nevada gaming testing laboratory last year, and is one of Aristocrat's most successful games in other gaming markets.

Aristocrat advised that Station Casinos, Inc. has agreed to allow its Sunset Station Hotel & Casino in Henderson, Nevada to be the site for the company's field trial.

``We are very excited about the trial which we anticipate will start in February,'' said Ken Jolly, Aristocrat's Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service. ``We are particularly pleased that Station Casinos, Inc. has agreed to host the field trial,'' he said.

Jolly said the company expected the field trial to take a minimum of 60 days. ``It is not uncommon for field trials to commence prior to a notation on the Nevada gaming authorities' agenda for consideration,'' he said. ``On successful completion of the field trial, approval of Aristocrat's product will be listed on the Nevada gaming authorities' agenda for consideration.'' Jolly confirmed Aristocrat was on track to make Aristocrat games available to Nevada customers during the first half of this year.
