Argosy Generates $1 Million a Day27 March 2003INDIANA – As reported by the Cincinnati Post: "The Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind. generated more than $1 million per day in revenues and nearly $10 million per month in operating profits last year, according to its parent company's annual report. "The now-docked riverboat contributed more than 40 percent of parent company Argosy Gaming's revenues and 56 percent of its operating income, the report said. "Argosy said it garnered 60 percent of the $627 million spent at three riverboat casinos in Southeast Indiana in 2002. "Argosy's 2002 casino revenues in Lawrenceburg were up 8 percent to $374 million. Operating profits were virtually flat at $117 million. "…The company said in its annual report that its primary marketing focus is to encourage repeat business with frequent customers…" |
