Anti-Casino Group Ordered to Pay Pro-Casino Legal Fees10 March 2003PORTLAND, Oregon -- As reported by News 8 WMTW: ``A superior court judge has ordered the anti-casino group CasinosNo! to pay $7,000 in legal fees to the Penobscot and Passamaquoddy Indian tribes and to the pro-casino group Think About It for filing a legal challenge to the tribes' efforts to collect signatures for a referendum. ``Dennis Bailey, spokesman for CasinosNo!, said his group disagrees with the judge's decision requiring them to pay legal fees for the pro-casino group Think About It. ``The decision ˜is not going to stop us from using whatever means are available to keep this travesty from coming to Maine.'..." |
