Another Massachusetts tribe joins casino race24 October 2007BOSTON, Massachusetts -- As reported by the South of Boston Enterprise: "The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head wants to be dealt into the casino game and will announce their plans at a press conference tomorrow. "The tribe is keeping their options open and will bid on a commercial license, but spokesperson Dominic Slowey said that if it doesn't get a commercial license, it plans to open a tribal casino. "Slowey said the tribe has not decided where to build a casino, but has ruled out their reservation lands on Martha's Vineyard. "...Slowey said Tribal Chairman Donald A. Widdiss will launch the Aquinnah's casino alliance at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston..." |
