Anjelah Johnson makes Treasure Island debut5 September 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- Comedian Anjelah Johnson, performing nationally during her "More of Me Tour,” makes her debut at the Treasure Island Theater 12 October at 9 p.m. The comedian, also a former Oakland Raiders cheerleader, got her big break with the viral video “Nail Salon.” Shortly after, she joined “MADtv” as a series regular with her original character “Bon Qui Qui,” a fast food employee with no filter. While portraying the successful character, Johnson released three songs and two music videos before the full album “Gold Plated Dreams” and the Christmas EP “Merry Hoodmas.” Johnson later teamed up with Benefit Cosmetics for the music video “This is How We Do It.” Following the success of her first special “That’s How We Do It,” which premiered on Comedy Central in 2009, Johnson recorded “The Homecoming Show” and “Not Fancy.” Her most recent special, “Mahalo & Goodnight,” was recorded in Honolulu, Hawaii and premiered on Epix in 2017.
