Angry Gambler Caused £7 million in Damages

MANCHESTER, UK -- As reported by This is London: "A gambler who started a £7 million blaze at a motorway service station after he lost £200 on a slot machine was jailed for three and a half years today.

"Jason New, 31, showed no emotion as his sentence was read out at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court.

"New, of Foxdale Avenue, Blackpool, used an 85p lighter to set fire to the one-armed bandit at Birch services on the M62 near Rochdale, in a bid to get his cash back.

"The blaze tore through the shopping and restaurant areas and took 74 firefighters almost four hours to control.
