Andersen Gets 18-Day Extension for Atlantic City License25 April 2002ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey –As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "…[The casino] commission gave indicted auditor Arthur Andersen LLP an 18-day extension to apply for a casino-service industry license. "…The new deadline coincides with the May 15 deadline by which six casinos must stop doing business with Andersen because of the firm's federal obstruction-of-justice charge in the Enron Corp. investigation. "Lawyer Paul O'Gara asked commissioners to give Andersen more time to apply, during which the firm's future should become clearer…" |
