Anchor Gaming Licenses Cashless Gaming Patents and Certain Secondary Bonus Features to WMS19 September 2000LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) -- Sept. 19, 2000 -- Anchor Gaming (Nasdaq: SLOT) today announced that it has licensed certain patent rights owned by Anchor Gaming and IGT (NYSE: IGT) for cashless gaming to WMS Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WMS) and agreed to certain financial terms and conditions, including device fees. ``The gaming industry has shown a tremendous interest in cashless gaming,'' said Anchor Gaming Chief Executive Officer T.J. Matthews. ``There appears to be a lot of confusion about which patents are important to the future of cashless gaming. It is nice to see a major competitor recognizing the value in the patents that we are now offering for licensing.'' In a separate agreement, Anchor also licensed certain secondary bonus features to WMS. |
