Analyst: Sky City's Fate Undecided24 March 2003NEW ZEALAND – As reported by the New Zealand Herald: "Sky City's share price tumbled like coins out of a slot machine last week as jittery investors worried about Government moves to ban smoking in public places like casinos. "Still, as one analyst put it, it remains to be seen whether gamblers give up smoking or smokers give up gambling. "Either way, the ban is some time off, with the health select committee recommending a 12-month phase-in period after the law is changed, so the fallout would not hit Sky City's bottom line until at least 2005…" |
