AMLD Opens Casino in Romania21 September 2000ISRAEL – Sept. 21, 2000 -- As reported by Israel's Business Arena: "AMLD Investment Company Ltd. announced today that it had opened a casino, `Casino Paris', in Bucharest. The casino, the largest in Romania, cost $3 million, and is managed by AMLD subsidiary, BARAAD, which owns 24% of the rights in the project. "…The company expects the investment to grow at a rate of 20 to 25% per annum. AMLD intends to expand its gaming activities to East Asia and South America in the near future. "…As the casinos in Turkey shut down, Romania became the preferred destination of Israeli gamblers, followed by Turkish and Middle Eastern players. This new rush turned Romania into regional gaming center of world repute." |
