Ameristar Casinos CEO honored31 October 2007LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Ameristar Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASCA) CEO and President John Boushy was inducted into the CIO Magazine Hall of Fame last evening at a ceremony in Coronado, Calif., attended by more than 175 of the world's most influential CEOs, CIOs and senior business executives. Boushy was honored for his leadership in the technology community and his contributions to the advancement of the IT profession. While with a former employer, he is credited with leading the team that conceived and created the casino industry's first nationwide customer loyalty program, which revolutionized the way casinos communicate and interact with their customers. According to Abbie Lundberg, editor-in-chief of CIO Magazine, "As we celebrate 20 years of providing IT executives with the strategies and best practices to perform their jobs effectively, it makes sense to honor the elite CIOs who have been pioneers in breaking new ground in the use of technology in business." Other 2007 CIO Magazine Hall of Fame inductees included top executives from Capital One, Verizon, Microsoft and Federal Express. "I am extremely honored to be included in this prestigious fraternity of leaders in the IT field who have developed systems and solutions that have changed the marketplace," said Boushy. "At the same time, ascending to the position of CEO at Ameristar has been humbling. Working with the entire Ameristar team as we provide high quality facilities, best-in-market product and superior guest service has been truly rewarding." |
