Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City Names New Vice President13 January 2003LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City today announced the appointment of Michelle Shriver to the position of Vice President, Assistant General Manager for Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City. In this capacity, she will work with General Manager Dave Albrecht on a wide range of property activities to improve efficiency of operations and enhance profitability. She will also focus specifically on player development and guest service. Shriver joins the property as it unveils several innovative new restaurant concepts, and as it enters the final stages of construction on major enhancements to the casino floor, targeted for completion in early 2003. Shriver began her career with Ameristar Corporate in 1996 as Marketing Production Manager, then transferred to the Reserve Hotel Casino in Las Vegas as Marketing Manager (formerly owned by Ameristar) in 1998. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 1999 and oversaw all marketing, promotions, entertainment, public relations and advertising for the property. Shriver returned to Ameristar program. She was an integral part of the development of Ameristar brand promotional and advertising plans and directed the strategic planning of marketing operations company-wide. She was also a key contributor to marketing efforts for the grand opening of Ameristar Casino St. Charles. Shriver holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Sociology from the University of Southern California.
