Americas Cardroom concludes record-breaking poker tournament

11 May 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Americas Cardroom wrapped up its popular OSS Cub3d last night with the final events in the Bigger Online Super Series (BOSS), the third leg of its three-part online poker tournament series. The biggest event in the high-roller series, a $750,000 guaranteed tournament, paid out $954,000 in prize money.

"With absolutely no overlays, plus guarantee-busting prize pools across the board, the OSS Cub3d was our most successful tournament series to date," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "In all, we neared the $8 million mark in total prize pools, and we have our growing community to thank. Congrats to everyone who walked away a winner."

The BOSS guaranteed $2,010,000 in prize money over the course of five days, ultimately doling out $2,562,350. Chief among the guarantee-beaters was the $750,000 guaranteed Main Event, which saw 477 players fuel the prize pool to $954,000. Online poker player "Imgrinding" took first place to secure $186,030.

OSS CUB3D success
The BOSS' success comes on the heels of the record-breaking Online Super Series (OSS), which saw $4,376,915 in prize money, and Mini Online Super Series (MOSS), which wrapped up with $1,056,825 paid out. In total, the OSS Cub3d guaranteed $5,700,000 but concluded with $7,996,090 in total prize pools.

Equally noteworthy is that the OSS Cub3d featured absolute no overlays — a first for an Americas Cardroom online poker tournament series and a sign of things to come for the U.S.-facing online poker site.

Also included in the OSS Cub3d was a leader board featuring a sterling silver bracelet and $4,900 Punta Cana Poker Classic trip for the top three finishers. Headed to paradise this October are "Thrash370," "IDONKHRDER" and "DUKEofMORONGO."
