American Gaming Assn. Website Hits the Net25 April 1997The AGA has finally launched its website (http://www.americangaming.org) and it's got some great resources for folks monitoring the gaming industry. You'll find the text of speeches and press releases from the AGA. You'll also find some excellent background information such as the Arthur Anderson study which chronicles the extent of gaming and its impact which will be of great interest to numbers lovers. There's also background on the Center for Responsible Gambling which the AGA spearheaded the establishment of in Kansas City...a noble effort to attack the twin scourges of compulsive and underage gambling. Maybe we missed it but we didn't see the white paper on internet gambling which the AGA had done previously. Of course, the landscape has changed dramatically since the study was done over a year ago...but it would still be enlightening, at least to regular RGT readers who have a high level of interest in the topic. There are also links to AGA members' websites so if you want to find some of the "big boys" links here's one route...but you can get there through our own Incredible Link collection also. Our friends at the AGA are asking for input on what readers would like to see on the site. That brings us to one small criticism. We couldn't find an email response anywhere on the site. If that's not quickly corrected and you'd like to give them feedback, try writing to amergaming@aol.com. |
