Alliance's 'Game Magic' Receives Nevada Approval

22 December 1998

The Nevada Gaming Commission has given final licensing approval to "Game MagicTM," a 3-D graphic multi-game, video gaming machine developed by Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq:ALLY).

The approval came after completion of a successful field trial at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas. The Commission approved both the machine platform and 10 games including blackjack, poker, keno and reel-spinning slots in video format, plus two unique games-roulette and loony darts.

Game Magic will debut on Christmas in the Reno/Sparks, Nev., area at the company's Rail City Casino where casino management has scheduled festivities to introduce the new product.

"This approval is a significant step in being able to provide our customers with a full line of entertaining new products," said Alliance Gaming President and CEO Morry Goldstein. "Game Magic provides a unique experience for players-lively graphics, enhanced sound and, most of all, great games. … We expect the reception of this new product in Nevada will rival the high level of play we have seen outside the U.S. The roll-out begins immediately."

Alliance Gaming is a diversified gaming company with headquarters in Las Vegas. The company is engaged primarily in the design, manufacture and distribution of advanced gaming devices and systems worldwide. It is the nation's largest gaming machine route operator and operates two regional casinos.
