Alliance Gaming Signs To Provide Bally's New SDS Slot Management System to Foxwoods

15 March 2001

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) -- March 15, 2001 -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq: ALLY) announced today that it has signed a contract with Foxwoods Resort Casino to provide the world's largest casino with its SDS slot management system from Bally Gaming and Systems.

Preliminary work on displacing the current system has already begun and the implementation of SDS on the more than 6,000 slot machines at the Mashantucket, Conn., property is expected be complete by this fall.

``We believe SDS is the foundation layer needed to support the slot floor of the future and we value the long-term commitment Foxwoods has made to Bally Gaming and Systems,'' said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Gaming.

``Foxwoods looks forward to the full implementation of SDS and being able to offer our players exciting promotional opportunities and expanded customer service,'' said Bob Sheldon, Foxwoods' Chief Operating Officer. ``It is very important that Foxwoods remains on the leading edge of technology and SDS gives us the innovation we need going forward.''

The new SDS Version 8 software provides Foxwoods with the full suite of financial reporting tools and includes technology for creating a cashless environment utilizing both ticketing and electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Recognized as the industry leader with more than 140,000 machines and 145 casino customers worldwide, the SDS product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, accounting, security and maintenance capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability.
