Alliance Gaming Announces Regulatory Submission of Evolution Series Gaming Platform

4 December 2000

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) -- Dec. 4, 2000 -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq: ALLY) announced today that its Bally Gaming and Systems unit has completed regulatory submission of its Evolution Series advanced gaming platform to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The EVO platform, developed utilizing Microsoft® consulting services to maximize the effectiveness of EVO's Windows NT®-embedded operating system, creates an environment capable of rapid game development and advanced video and audio capabilities.

The integrity of EVO is protected by a proprietary security architecture developed by Bally Gaming. EVO will provide a single software and hardware solution for all combinations of video and mechanical reel games, also leveraging Bally's existing library of gaming products.

``We are very excited to have what we believe to be the most advanced and versatile platform in gaming today. This is truly a high point of our transition year,'' said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Gaming. ``The Windows environment provides not only unprecedented speed in which new game titles can be designed, but also allows the Company to draw from an enormous pool of talented engineers trained in this environment.

``There is no larger challenge to our industry today than that of attracting talented and creative engineers to design our products. We believe employing this standard of programming provides us with a distinct advantage,'' Miodunski said.

The Company expects to have the platform submitted to the regulatory agencies of each of the major gaming jurisdictions during the months of December 2000 and January 2001. To facilitate timely regulatory approvals, the EVO platform has been designed with detailed input from each of the regulatory agencies during its development.
