Alliance Gaming Announces First Jackpot for Betty Boop In Atlantic City

LAS VEGAS, June 29 (Press Release) -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (NASDAQ:ALLY) announced, after just forty-six days in operation, the first jackpot on the Betty Boop wide-area progressive in Atlantic City had been hit.

Anne Protin of Brooklyn, New York, won $214,499 on the evening of June 27th, at the Atlantic City Hilton. The Betty Boop games have been on trial in the Atlantic City since May 12, 2000. Completion of the trial is expected in August 2000.

Additionally, the Company announced that during the next seven days its Bally Gaming subsidiary will place 52 Payday games on an inter-property progressive link in four of the casinos operated by Park Place Entertainment in Mississippi.

The Payday inter-property link is a proprietary product in which Bally operates the progressive link at the individual casinos for a daily fee. The Company currently operates an additional 220 Payday games at Park Place properties in Nevada.
