Alliance Gaming Announces First International Installation Of Betty Boop Progressive Games

15 November 2000

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) --Nov. 15, 2000 -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq: ALLY) announced today that its Bally Gaming and Systems business unit is scheduled to complete the installation of 42 Betty Boop-themed progressive slot machines this week at Casino Windsor in Ontario, Canada.

With the installation of the games at the popular casino in the Detroit / Windsor metropolitan area, the Betty Boop games are now operating in eight distinct jurisdictions. Bally Gaming currently has more than 1,100 Betty Boop games operating on four separate Thrillions® wide-area progressive links in more than 100 casinos in seven U.S. states. Casino Windsor is the first international location with the Betty Boop games. Bally Gaming receives a percentage of handle or a fixed daily fee for every Betty Boop game in operation.

Casino Windsor, which is planning an elaborate Betty Boop kickoff event for the weekend of Dec. 8-9, has placed three banks of linked machines -- 12 quarter games, 16 half-dollar and 14 one-dollar -- in a progressive environment that offers a common jackpot that resets at CAN$50,000.

With Casino Windsor operating and monitoring its own link among the games, Bally Gaming's proprietary multi-denominational technology will, for the first time, be utilized separately from the Thrillions wide-area progressive system that typically links Betty Boop games in the U.S.

``With the established success of the Betty Boop slots and the chance to further distinguish our slot floor from other casinos in the area, it was a natural that Casino Windsor would offer this exciting game to our players,'' Casino Windsor Vice President of Slot Operations Glen Sawhill said.

``We have worked with Casino Windsor to develop games and sign packages that will create a slot attraction second to none in the Detroit area,'' said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Gaming.

Bally Gaming and Systems, a wholly owned business unit of Las Vegas-based Alliance Gaming Corporation, designs, manufactures, operates and distributes advanced gaming devices and systems worldwide.

Alliance Gaming is a diversified gaming company with headquarters in Las Vegas. The Company is engaged in the design, manufacture, operation and distribution of advanced gaming devices and systems worldwide, and is the nation's largest gaming machine route operator and operates two casinos.
