Alliance Gaming Acquires Honeyframe Systems Company28 May 2003LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Alliance Gaming Corp. Currently the only commercial systems provider for the UK's expansive AWP (Amusement With Prizes) gaming machine market, Honeyframe specializes in providing software and hardware solutions to many of the larger AWP manufacturers and operators in the UK and throughout Europe. With the acquisition of Honeyframe, Bally Gaming and Systems will begin to integrate Honeyframe's technology with the systems developed by Micro Clever Consulting (MCC), a Nice, France-based company that Bally Gaming and Systems acquired in April 2003. The combination of the two product lines will allow Bally Gaming and Systems to offer a gaming machine accounting, casino management and marketing package that links both AWP machines and traditional Las Vegas-style slot machines to capitalize on the proposed expansion of gaming in the United Kingdom. "Through our distributorship agreement with Crown Gaming Limited, Bally Gaming and Systems is already well-positioned on the machine side to capitalize on the proposed future growth of gaming in the UK and now through this acquisition of Honeyframe, we will be able to offer a complete systems solution for everything from pubs, arcades and bingo halls to full-scale casino operations," said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Gaming. Honeyframe's proprietary products include CashMaster(TM), a machine accounting software package, and Connexus(TM), a hardware solution that fits into gaming machines and provides the interface between the machine and the software monitoring system. Bally Gaming and Systems acquired Honeyframe from Lancashire, England-based Guild Ventures, Ltd. Managing Director Chris Preece will lead the Honeyframe development team. Recognized as the industry leader with approximately 225,000 game monitoring units and 187 casino customers worldwide, the Bally Systems product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, accounting, security, maintenance, marketing, promotional and bonusing capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability while providing an enhanced level of customer service.
