Alleged Gambling Evidence Seized At Illinois Clubs16 October 2001FAIRFIELD, Illinois — An investigator with the Illinois Liquor Commission paid a surprise visit to private fraternal clubs in Fairfield on Monday, and said officials seized evidence related to illegal gambling at three establishments. "Evidence of gambling was seized at the Elks Lodge, VFW and Moose Lodge in Fairfield. "…While no cash or video gambling machines were seized, payout records were confiscated, and statements were taken from club operators regarding illegal gambling activities, say authorities.
