Alejandro Fernández is bringing his tour to Las Vegas15 February 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mexican music icon Alejandro Fernández announces his AMOR y PATRIA 2023 U.S. tour, which will feature an all-new show celebrating Fernández’ love of music, family and his native Mexico. Alejandro will be joined on stage by his son, special guest Alex Fernández. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will stop in Las Vegas for two nights over Mexican Independence Day Weekend in the MGM Grand Garden Arena at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday, 15-16 September 2023. Tickets go on sale starting Friday, 17 February at 10 a.m. PT at AXS.com. “I’m excited to return to the U.S. to celebrate Latino culture through my music,” said Alejandro Fernández. “I’ve put together a totally new show. I can’t wait to see my fans and sing all our favorite songs together. Y que viva Mexico!” A portion of the tour’s proceeds will support Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino. For the last 20 years, the organization has fought to bring the previous 500 years of U.S. Latino history to light by creating a National Museum of the American Latino on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Alejandro Fernández rose to global fame with his unique take on Mexican music. He is known for his records that speak of hard emotional truths. Throughout his career Alejandro has surprised his fanbase with his musical versatility in different genres. He is a 2x Latin GRAMMY winner and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, amongst other noteworthy recognitions. FERNÁNDEZ kicked off 2023 with the release of “Inexperto En Olvidarte,” the first single from his upcoming album that fans have been eagerly awaiting. The single was an instant classic due to its heart-wrenching lyrics, reaching #1 on Monitor Latino in México and Colombia and currently climbing US Radio charts. Alejandro's previous SOLD-OUT U.S. TOUR, “Hecho en México,” wrapped in October 2021. His most successful U.S. tour to date came on the heels of his hugely successful album of the same name, which garnered him four number-one singles on U.S. Latin radio charts. Alejandro has a long history of helping others through his music and shows. In 2020, he launched (along with a coalition of artists) the "Vota Por Nosotros" (Vote For Us) get-out-the-vote campaign, encouraging Latino voters to vote on behalf of our entire community in the November 3rd elections. In accepting his Latin GRAMMY that same year, Alejandro dedicated the award to the victims of the recent hurricanes in southern Mexico donating MXN $1,000,000.00 to the Mexican Red Cross to aid with the relief efforts. Most recently Alejandro joined Mana’s Fher Olvera as the face of the “We Are Home” campaign calling for a fair and dignified immigration policy for the millions of Latino immigrants living in the U.S. and again with Dr. Anthony Fauci in a call for the U.S. Latino population to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. His 2021 U.S. tour raised over $100,000 for “Families Belong Together” to unite immigrant parents and children separated at the U.S. border. |
