Ainsworth Reports Loss27 June 2003AUSTRALIA – As reported by the (Australia) Daily Telegraph: “Len Ainsworth is accustomed to taking the losses as well as the wins, yesterday telling shareholders in junior poker machine group Ainsworth Game Technology to expect a $13 million (US$8.6 million) loss for 2002-03. “The red ink will come about because of higher costs and delays in regulatory approval for its games. “…Chief executive Peter James said the latest year's result was impeded by delays in licence approvals plus the difficult nature of the gaming industry. “…Ainsworth chairman Mr Ainsworth, who founded rival Aristocrat Leisure, has also reached agreement with the board for a $5 million facility…” |
