After 21-Year Run, Las Vegas Variety Show Calls it Quits

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- As reported by the Associated Press: "One of longest-running shows on the Las Vegas Strip is closing shop.

"After a 21-year run, 'Splash,' a specialty-act revue at the Riviera hotel-casino, will perform its last show on Sept. 30, producer Meshulam Riklis announced in a statement released Friday.

"The show opened at the Riviera in 1985, offering a marriage of MTV-inspired variety acts, water stunts and showgirl glitz..."
