Advanced Casino Systems Signs Agreement with Boyd Gaming19 October 2001ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey –(Press Release) -- Oct. 19, 2001-- Advanced Casino Systems Corporation today announced that it had entered into an agreement to provide its innovative technology to Boyd Gaming Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, the ACSC Slot Management System (SMS) and Casino Management System (CMS) may be installed at 12 casino properties owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. The first ACSC SMS and CMS systems will be installed by the end of the first quarter 2002 at Sam's Town Las Vegas and Delta Downs Racetrack and Casino, in Vinton, Louisiana. Blake Cumbers, Boyd Gaming Vice President of Marketing for Boyd Gaming said, ``The choice of ACSC systems was driven by our desire to provide a very high level of service to our customers and powerful marketing tools to our employees. ACSC systems are known for their accuracy and rugged dependability, even in very high-volume operations like our Sam's Town property in Las Vegas. The marketing tools that are built into the system will provide a solid foundation for support of our customer relationship management programs.'' Dick Burnside, Corporate Vice President of Slot Operations for Boyd Gaming, added it was the new ACSC options that won him over. ``Cashless gaming is an increasingly important issue to the industry now, and we look forward to implementing the new ACSC cashless ticket in/out, EFT and promotional credit modules as they are approved in the jurisdictions where we operate. It is advantageous to have these features integrated into the casino operating system as opposed to adding a separate system.'' According to Larry Cole, President of Advanced Casino Systems Corp., the Boyd Gaming agreement represents an important development for ACSC. He said, ``Boyd Gaming is a leader in casino gaming innovation. With their recognition of the superiority of the ACSC systems, we are confident that other gaming companies will take a serious interest in our products and services.'' ACSC is a full-service technology company dedicated to providing integrated solutions for software, hardware and other services for the gaming and hospitality industries. The ACSC SMS and CMS systems provide complete integration-in real time-between all aspects of the casino resort: slots, tables, hotel, point-of-sale, marketing, credit, cage operations, accounting, promotions, special events and more. ACSC recently introduced its touch screen Table Management System for automation of player ratings, complimentaries and markers for table players. ACSC's SMS and CMSsystems are based on IBM's leading edge iSeries AS/400 architecture and utilize a proven integrated database that allows casino operators to seamlessly manage all of their slot and casino software as one system. Unlike PC-based systems, the AS/400 is very fast-all data is provided in real-time -- and always available-the AS/400 has been consistently benchmarked with a 99.987% availability rating. ACSC offices are located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; Las Vegas, Nevada; Palm Springs, California; and Biloxi, Mississippi. ACSC systems are currently installed at Caesars Palace, The Aladdin and The Venetian in Las Vegas; Caesars Atlantic City and the Sands in Atlantic City; the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut; Caesars Glory of Rome and the Belterra in Indiana; the Hollywood Casinos in Aurora, Illinois, Tunica, Mississippi and Shreveport, Louisiana; Boomtown Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, Casino Magic in Biloxi, Mississippi, Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Casino Morongo, Fantasy Springs Casino and the Spotlight 29 Casino in California, Hyatt's Regency Casino in Mendoza, Argentina, and many other casinos around the world. |
