Actor Jamie Foxx Arrested After Alleged Casino Scuffle

NEW ORLEANS – As reported by the Associated Press: ``Comedian Jamie Foxx and his sister were arrested early Saturday after allegedly refusing to leave a casino and then fighting with police officers, police said.

``Foxx, 35, and Deidra Dixon, 25, refused to show identification when they entered Harrah's Casino at about 4 a.m., then argued with security guards who ordered them to leave, said Capt. Marlon A. Defillo, a police spokesman. Foxx and Dixon walked inside to a gambling table with seven other people, then fought with police officers who were called to escort them out, Defillo said.

``Dixon struck one officer in the face before she and Foxx were subdued with pepper spray and handcuffed, Defillo said. The officer suffered a cut requiring stitches.

``Foxx was booked with trespassing, battery on officers and resisting arrest. He was released on $1,900 bond…"
