29 November 2000

SAN JOSE, California – (Press Release) -- Nov. 29, 2000 -- ActionPoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACTP), a leading provider of e-commerce interaction management software, today announced that the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has selected ActionPoint Dialog Server(TM) to create easy-to-use, dynamic web interfaces for its employees, suppliers, citizens and other agencies to participate in a real-time on-line information exchange.

MGCB licenses and monitors compliance of private commercial casino gaming and oversees Native American casino operations in the state of Michigan. MGCB will use ActionPoint Dialog Server to make it easier for casinos to meet their government reporting obligations, for casino's employees, and suppliers.

Through interactive web interfaces created using Dialog Server:

Casino operators can report financial earnings and tax returns

Suppliers can apply for licenses and provide due diligence information

Employees can fill out applications, update their address information, and conduct other human resource activities in real time

Agencies and other casinos can obtain reports on financial earnings, tax returns, and pertinent vendor information

Citizens can apply for information requests online

``Our mission is to help gaming organizations operate in a fair and honest manner,'' stated Nancy Horton Michigan Gaming Control Board Deputy Director. ``There are several groups that we need to make information available to about the casino's activities at anytime, and the Internet is the ideal platform for real-time communications with such a large and diverse audience.
