Acres Gaming Announces Agreement With Station Casinos

4 October 2000

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Oct. 4, 2000 -- Acres Gaming Inc. (Nasdaq:AGAM) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Station Casinos Inc. (NYSE:STN) to provide an Acres Advantage(TM) slot accounting and bonusing system for the Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino, for approximately $3.4 million.

The installation at Santa Fe Station will begin immediately and is expected to be substantially complete by Nov. 1.

The agreement includes options for Station Casinos to purchase similar systems for up to six additional Las Vegas casinos and for additional properties that may be acquired by Station Casinos in the future on terms similar to the terms covering the Santa Fe Station order.

``Station Casinos is the premier provider of casino entertainment to the Las Vegas locals market,'' acknowledged Bud Glisson, Acres' chairman and chief executive officer. ``They are the perfect partners to demonstrate how Acres' bonusing products can provide unique, automated incentives and entertainment experiences geared toward a casino's frequent customers.

``Acres Bonusing(TM) has been embraced in Australia, is being installed in South Africa and now will be showcased right here, in the Gaming Capital of the World.''

``Station Casinos is excited to partner with Acres in bringing more entertainment content to our customers,'' stated Blake Sartini, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Station Casinos. ``The combination of Acres' Bonusing Technology(TM) with our well established brand will enable us to provide our gaming customers at Santa Fe Station with unique gaming experiences and rewards.''

The terms of the agreement include provisions that give Station Casinos certain exclusive rights to use Acres Bonusing in a defined geographical area in the Las Vegas valley. The exclusivity provisions do not restrict Acres' ability to sell to casinos located on the Las Vegas Strip or in downtown Las Vegas.
