300 Trump Workers Get Pink Slips

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Associated Press: "Pink slips have been sent to 300 year-round employees at real estate mogul Donald Trump's three casinos, which are struggling in the face of new competition, higher taxes and a soft economy.

"Craig Keyser, executive vice president for human resources, cited a need to trim payroll.

"…Hardest hit by this week's job cuts were supervisors and middle management. All departments were affected at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Trump Marina Hotel and Casino and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.

"Keyser said Trump officials have not calculated the effect on the bottom line, but industry analyst Michael Pollock estimated the savings to be $12 million to $16 million annually.

"…The company will help the laid-off employees find work elsewhere in the organization or at other casinos…"
