24-Hour Winning Spree Hits Indian Casinos Coast-To-Coast

The weekend winning spree began Saturday afternoon at Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, Ore., when a Puyallup, Wash., man hit a $285,353 Quartermania slot jackpot with only a 50-cent bet. It was the largest slot jackpot ever won in Oregon.

The winning spree then moved east to the all-new Mohegan Sun Casino Resort in Uncasville, Conn., where a 36-year-old Stamford, Conn., woman won a $542,475 Fabulous 50's progressive slot jackpot on only a one-dollar bet, less than 24 hours after the new casino opened its doors. Fabulous 50's has been available in Native American casinos for less than one month.

From Mohegan Sun Resort, the jackpot winning streak moved to the Midwest where a second Fabulous 50's jackpot hit at Oneida Bingo and Casino in Green Bay, Wis., Sunday morning. A 54-year-old retired restaurant owner from Beloit, Wis., put $1 in a Fabulous 50's progressive slot machine and won $501,274 just hours after the Fabulous 50's system had paid out the $542,475 jackpot in Connecticut.

Currently, there are 45 tribal casinos in nine states linked nationwide by the Native American Wide-Area Progressive Slot System. System games include Megabucks, Dollars Deluxe, Fabulous 50's, Quartermania and Nickelmania. Each time a player feeds a coin into a linked slot machine on any of the system games, the jackpot grows. Slot players in linked tribal casinos around the country play for the progressive jackpot at the same time, and the jackpot continues to build until it is won. When a jackpot is won, the jackpot total is immediately reset to the starting amount.

Megabucks offers a top jackpot that builds from $1 million; Dollars Deluxe has a top jackpot that starts at $500,000; Quartermania builds from a base amount of $200,000; and Nickelmania starts at $100,000.

Fabulous 50's is the newest wide-area progressive slot system game available in Native American casinos. The two-coin, 50-cent slot game offers a $500,000 base jackpot which continues to build as slot players in linked tribal casinos play for the same jackpot. Fabulous 50's is currently available in Wisconsin at the Oneida Tribe's Oneida Bingo and Casino, Irene Moore Activity Center and 54 One Stop, and in Connecticut at the Mohegan Tribe's Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort.
